Estella Rose infrared shoot

Just enjoyed a very interesting experimental shoot with the lovely Estella-Rose. This time we tried shooting infrared and 3D. Sadly the 3D camera had issues, but the infrared images came out really well.

Infrared images are quite tricky in a studio setting, especially in my studio, because all our modelling lamps are LED, and hence produce no infrared. Which meant that they were harder for the model because I was constantly adjusting the IR filter to allow enough visible light for focussing. Which in turn meant that the model had to hold her pose longer.

Infrared images also require a different style of processing. This meant the way the model and I select images is more difficult. But as ever Estella-Rose took it all in her stride and I am delighted with the results. The first forty-nine images are shot with the “full-spectrum gallery”. The remainer are shot with a standard µ4/3 colour camera. I also ran out monochrome versions, which you can see on page 2 of the gallery below.

As ever, lovely shoot, lovely model and lovely person – and very highly recommended indeed.

(N.B. monochrome images are on gallery page 2.)
