Carlie & Chiara are models based in Southampton, UK. They were chosen to work on the Modern Girls in Girdles project for their enthusiasm, stunning looks and their ability to run with an idea.
Carlie...Bearing a more than passing resemblance to a young Goldie Hawn, Carlie is relatively new both to modelling and to the world of figure-shaping under-garments. Nevertheless, she got into the spirit of the 'Modern girls in girdles' project with considerable enthusiasm. In just four weeks, she changed from the girl next door into the perfect corset model. After three shoots, Carlie believes she has benefited greatly from the experience. She quickly became accustomed to the 'girdle experience'. She actually enjoyed being sculpted into the old-fashioned shape that the project demanded. Not surprising really because she looked fantastic and said the process made her feel taller, slimmer, more elegant and much more confident. Best of all, Carlie tells us that despite the hard work, she enjoyed every minute of it and can't wait to do another shoot.

Chiara...Originally from Milan, Italy, Chiara is a wonderfully experienced model. Imagine a girl consisting of Gina Lollobrigida and Sophia Loren' s Italian sexiness. Mix that with a splash of fifties' favourite bad-girl, Betty Page. Finally, firmly affix Kylie Minogue's bottom going through its gothic stage! Voila! You have created Chiara! More importantly, she has the knack of immediately understanding a creative brief and is always full of fantastic ideas. Her slim, shapely figure and her keenness to try new things made her ideal for this project. She is particularly gifted at teaching other models. Her kind, gentle manner and her instinctive knowledge of what will look good on film is an asset to experienced photographers and inexperienced models alike. She was also responsible for accurately documenting which 'Modern Girl' wore which girdle. This took some very careful proof-reading. We wouldn't want to call an M&S a Playtex, would we? Chiara is a regular girdle & corset wearer and loves the effect these have on her figure. These days she regularly raids the 'girdles box' and puts together some unusual outfits that she wears to the local 'goth club'.
