The girls originally wore these outfits for one of the pre-shoot practice sessions Chiara prepared for Carlie to help her acquire that old-fashioned poise.

Strictly speaking, these aren't girdles. However they are made of a heavy, stretchy nylon/lycra fabric and are in very small sizes. So the effect is very similar to a light control panty girdle - just a gentle squeeze here and there.

When is a girdle not a girdle? When it's called something else!

In any event, the girls looked so good in these outfits - especially when a pair of long, animal print gloves was added to the ensemble. So it was decided that the 'Modern Girls in Girdles' project would not be complete without a few photos - just for the record!
